Robotic Process Automation is the technology that allows one to configure computer software or a “robot” to emulate and integrate the actions of a human interacting within digital systems (i.e. involving computers) to execute a series of tasks that constitute a process. In other words, RPA robots utilize the user interface of a computer system to capture data and manipulate applications just like humans do. They interpret, trigger responses and communicate with other systems in order to perform on a vast variety of repetitive tasks.

For RPA robots to perform a given set of tasks, there must be a robotic process designed for that set of tasks.  fofx Academy shall be having RPA Workshop Series spanning two months or more. The goal is not only to raise RPA awareness among workshop participants but to also get them to the stage at which they can become Certified RPA Developers.

Therefore, the aim of this first workshop is to introduce participants to the basics of automation and working with UiPath (the leading vendor in terms of RPA technology worldwide) and thereby lay a proper foundation for succeeding workshops that dwell on topics having increasing complexity.

We shall start with signing up on UiPath’s cloud platform, installing UiPath Studio in our PCs, and then proceed to configure and connect our PCs to the robots that are tied to our account on the UiPath Cloud Platform. Finally, we shall have an introduction to the UiPath Studio layout (Activities Panel, Workflow Designer and Properties Panel). It promises to be an exciting time. See you there!!!
